Best Libraries in DFW
📍 Bedford Library
💕 The kids’ area has squishy tile floors, a train table, a kitchen center, Magnatiles, and a lot of other fun things!
💕 They have tons of fun classes for kids. We have been doing the Music and Movement class on Fridays and their free play class. Check out their website for more info!
📍 Colleyville Library
💕 The kids’ area has Legos, a dollhouse, Magna-Tiles, trains, dinosaurs, and much more!
💕 They have tons of fun classes for kids from story times to STEAM activities! We especially love bounce time on Fridays. Our oldest does summer activities here too! Check out their full calendar on their website ♥️
📍 Euless Library, 201 N Ector Dr, Euless
🗓️ Toddler Time Thursdays at 10am
♥️ First of all, this library is BEAUTIFUL. One of the prettiest and biggest libraries we’ve been to.
♥️ Their toddler time is so fun! It is best for ages 1-3, but anyone is free to join!
♥️ They read stories, use scarves and other fun hands-on things, sing, dance, and use puppets
♥️ At the end, they turn on the bubble machine and let the kids play in the bubbles
♥️ They have free play afterwards in the children’s section with toys
♥️ The children’s section is in a separate room which is nice so we don’t have to try and whisper the whole time!
♥️ They have a TON of activities and events: story times, music classes, yoga and reading for kids, game nights, and more!
🚙 Libraries that are Worth the Drive!
📍 Frisco Public Library, 8000 Dallas Pkwy, Frisco
♥️ First of all, the library itself is INCREDIBLE. It honestly looks like a library from the future and I love it!
♥️ The dinosaur at the front is amazing-we stood there and just looked at it for probably ten minutes 🦖
♥️ There is a huge toddler and kid play area with a grocery store, construction zone, veterinarian office, kitchen, and more! There is also a separate STEM zone for older kids/teens.
📍 Haltom City Public Library
💕 The Haltom Library has the CUTEST events for kids of all ages. They are very active on Facebook, so be sure to check out all of their events!
💕 During their Wednesday story time, they sing songs, read a cute story, use musical instruments, and even get out the big PE parachute at the end of every class
💕 We like to play in the kids’ section after class-they have trains, Legos, puzzles, a computer station, and a coloring table
🛝 There is a super-cute playground across the street that we like to visit afterwards
📍 Keller Public Library
💕 The kids’ area has a play kitchen, dress-up area, squishy color tiles, push toys, blocks, board books, wooden rocker, and much more!
💕 They have a free baby story time (0-18 months) on Tuesdays and story time for all ages on Wednesdays
🛝 The playground across the parking lot is AMAZING.
📍 North Richland Hills Library, Grand Ave, North Richland Hills
💕 As of April, 2023, their children's section is under construction. It is still open, but will have more fun toys and activities one they are done renovating!
💕 One of our favorite classes is the free “Melodies & Motion” class every Monday at 11:30
💕 This class is perfect for kids 18 months – 4 years old. Each class includes music, dancing, instruments, and other movement activities to do with your child.
💕 After class, we like to play with toys in the kids’ section!
✨ The NRH Library has other events like Toddler Time, Babygarten (register ahead for this one), and Storytime to enjoy too. They have a full list of events on their website!
